The Board of Secondary Education Andhra Pradesh shortly called as BSEAP all so called as Directorate Government Examinations Andhra Pradesh / SSC Board of AP and was established on 1953, located at AP. The board regulates and supervises the system of secondary education in AP state. DGE’s is an independent department functioning under ministry of secondary education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The department is responsible for conducting the SSC / OSSC Public Examinations and a number of minor examinations like DED, LPCET, Technical certificate course tests. Presently the Board is holding the examinations and preparing the results of nearly 30 lakh students (1st to 10th Class).

The total marks of four Formative Assessments and two Summative Assessments conducted in an academic year will be accounted for 20% of marks in class X public examinations.
